Marie Antoinette had a son in 1781 and at that time people celebrated. A few years later though it was the complete opposite, people gathered at the palace not to celebrate but to yell threats at the queen. Around the time Marie Anoinette's son was born was probably the only time she was well liked. Many people critizied her for spending to much money on dresses but even when she didn't waste money she was critizied.  Later when the french revolution was happening most people directed their rage onto Marie. The family feared for their safety there in Paris so they tried to leave but didn't make it and were brought back to Paris. When the french revolution was over the monarchy was overthrown and the queen were  sent to prison. Marie's children were taken from her. A month later the queen was given a trial were she recieved sympathy but nonetheless was found guilty and beheaded.
